2 Lincoln Memorial Cir NW, Washington, DC 20024, USA
The actual name of this beautiful feature is the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. It was completed a year after the Lincoln Memorial in 1923. On the far end is the World War 2 Memorial and the Washington Monument can be seen from and reflected in it. It’s a beautiful part of your visit to the wonderful monuments in this incredible city and a great place to take some photos.
Lovely place to sit and reflect. Good views of all the surrounding monuments and architecture. Bring a book and just take in the energy of all the people around. Quite the busy hub during the tourist season. Go in the early morning for a more quiet experience.
It was such a windy day in December when we visited Washington. Walking along the reflecting pool it felt as we almost walked backwards. But it was still an amazing experience surrounded by so much history. What a lovely clean city!
Great place to stop and look around at all the beauty around you! Very nice area and you can see so much from this perspective. Take the time to go up the Washington Monument to get a birds eye perspective of it all. If you are up for it, walk around all the monuments around the Mall as well.
This place is amazing. The pool sets the tone and lets you know what a nice place this really is to be. You can see the area in a new light during certain times of the day. Worth a walk to see all America's capital has to offer.
