We had a fantastic time here with our one year old son. It's my first time in New York and my wife insisted that we take our son here and I am glad that she did. First off the carousel is huge and in great working order. Whatever restoration work that was performed was very well done. The carousel is enclosed in a glass house with the perfect view of the river and the Brooklyn Bridge plus there are several restaurants with patios nearby. We went during the week near closing time and there was no line. There were 3 staff members and they were so friendly and even helped my wife and son board one of the horses. They were very friendly and enthusiastic and seemed to love their job. The ride itself is only $2 for one child plus an adult. The ride itself is much longer than expected and we loved the vintage carousel music. I highly recommend Jane's Carousel for the little ones or even as a date location for adults. Especially as there are a few restaurants with patios right next door plus this has one of the better views of the river and bridge.

Nice place to enjoy the skyline ! It is not too much crowded, giving you the time and space to enjoy the vicinity. You can sit and eat wherever you want around the carousel and near the river, as there are some chairs and benches installed there for visitors. The carousel itself is beautiful but I hadn't had the time to test it. Kids seemed to have fun though.

Absolutely gorgeous views. Probably one of the coolest places carousels in the world. There a picnic tables reserved right next to the carousel for people who are having birthday parties, and tons of other stores and restaurants nearby as well.

We did not expect such a beautiful old restored carousel. I was blown away buy how stunning the carousel is and the glass house that its encased in. Not only that but its situated under two amazing bridges and a sprawling view! Amazing visit!
