This place has timeless beauty. Despite the holiday weekend crowds, there are spots where you can find some peace and quiet with nature. Mid week and early mornings are optimal for a more enjoyable time at the park. Clean restrooms. Be prepared to hike steep inclines as parking lot fills up quick. All in all, still one of my favorite spots.

WOW! Lake Tahoe is absolutely beautiful! I even managed to get back up the trail to our car! Seriously it's a place to see if you are even close, very nice town too(South Lake Tahoe). Everything you would want also easy access from the highways. Plan to go back and hope the climb back up is easier. 🧗‍♂️🙄

This place is so incredible. Absolutely gorgeous place to stop and adventure. Or if you only have enough time to stop for a moment and enjoy the epic views it is worth every minute. We kayaked to the island in the middle of the bay and it was one of the best days of this summer. Just a beautiful experience.

We come here every summer. I came here as a child with my mother. Now I bring my children. This is a great place to camp if you don't mind the bears. We usually have no issues with them as we keep our camp clean. There is much to do here whether you want to spend time on a boat on the beautiful lake or hike the many trails. There is a beach for swimming access. The staff here are attentive and pleasant as well as helpful. They even have fire wood for sale if you need it. The camp sites are clean and well designed to make it easy to set up camp quickly. They are a bit close together so Keep in mind it's busy here and you will have neighbors. I have never had a bad experience as most are friendly and there is so much to do you won't be at your camp all day. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Over all we look forward to coming here each year.

Time stops at this beautiful place. This place get a bit crowded but there are plenty of places to enjoy solitude. You can take a boat ride in this beautiful river. It is a good hiking place also. Great place to visit!
