You can’t visit DC and not go here. Cemeteries always have a solemn and respectful feeling while your there but this one is so much deeper. You can feel the sacrifice of the men and women who are buried here. Also, go watch the change of guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier. That will change your life.

I attended a full honors funeral here and it was the most remarkable funeral I have ever seen. The unbelievable sacrifice these individuals made is matched by the respect and professionalism by the Honor Guard. Please take time out of your busy site seeing and visit this special piece of earth. From the well maintain grave markers, to the clean cut grass, you won't see a speck of trash anywhere. You won't be disappointed.

This place is one of America’s gems. It’s weird, it’s a cemetery that feels awesome. We had an amazing walk through with a walking tour. Which I highly recommend. The grounds are amazing and very well maintained. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable. The changing of the guard leaves you speechless.

You can't visit Washington DC and not visit Arlington. It feels just as solemn as the memorials and cemeteries I have visited on the French and Belgian battlefields. The gravestones of the space shuttle crews and JFK were the most touching for me. And please, if you go to observe the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier put your phone on silent.

Very humbling experience. Walking through the paths and looking at the endless graves was a reminder of the sacrifices that thousands and thousands of soldiers have made for the U.S. It is the perfect sacred place to show respect to those who have served and fallen. The facility and grounds are beautiful. The atmosphere was so calm, quiet, serene, peaceful. PS: wear comfortable shoes for walking.
