King's Parade, Cambridge CB2 1ST, UK
Amazing architecture. The chapel details the construction methods and provides examples to demonstrate those methods. A good place to learn about arches and the strength they have.
Every bit as good as its reputed to be. Well worth a visit. However, the outside architecture is more impressive still so you may decide to just look at it from the top of St Mary's and not pay King's for an internal visit.
We went to Chapel during our Cambridge university tour. Great architecture in a silent place. The colourful desinged window glass is awesome. Highly recommend to visit.
Was able to attend "Evensong" here and was blown away by the beautiful sound of the choir. It was difficult to hear the readings and prayers (anything not sung by the choir). I don't know if they didn't use the microphones, they were broken, or just don't have any - but that was a bummer. The guides they provided seemed to be more of a distraction/disruption to the service than an assistance. I would just listen next time as opposed to trying to follow along. Sadly, they don't allow pictures once the inside (during Evensong anyway),
Incredible monument, very clear and interesting information about the architecture. The surrounding buildings are also worth the view.
