Great Park once you get to the Central area. Don't be put off if you come by walking from the beach, as it gets better once you get close to the centre. It is host to various animals and birds as well as a nice lake. It is close to a mall and the beach, and bus services (500, 502...) present will bring you to and from the city centre.
A large natural looking park with 3 main lakes, geese, ducks, gulls, moorhens and coots. We also saw hens and roosters, jays, a little white egret and other birds. Lots of trees, small and tall. A pond with frogs. Clearly marked main paths, signposts and park maps. Plenty of space to sit, picnic, play ball games. At one end of the park, across the road is the beach and the Atlantic Ocean, a restaurant and café.
This is a beautiful park in Pprto connected to the beach. So wonderful to see beautiful green space in a city. Similar feel to Boston Common. Highly recommend it!
A beautifully landscaped Park with many geese filled lakes. You can spend hours here, fulfilling your x-fit fantasies, or simply ambling about through the ever changing landscape. Bring snacks if you want to eat, and water to drink as it is short of food options. Not the easiest to get to from the centre, but if you have a car the Free parking is also bonus.
Amazing oasis in the city. Landscaped and with character, you can enjoy going for a run, a walk with the dog, play football with the kids, or have a family picnic. In summer it holds an iconic musical festival.
