I think that this place is one of my favorite buildings I've been in while touring Lisbon. It's meticulous and really open. There's not a lot of furniture clutter so you can just truly appreciate the beauty of the building. I went by it several times during my stay. I enjoyed seeing it while I was there for the market which is just outside of it on Saturdays.

It might not be the easiest spot to find, but google map plus some local indication will do! This monument is quite interesting, there are some thumbs of famous Portuguese people (although at least in once case the story was saying that person is actually buried somewhere else, hence not sure why they put his name there?)... the ticket includes the visit to the terrace on the roof, which is equivalent to a very interesting view point in that part of the city! Some colorful buildings around and good view if the weather allows!

Very interesting history, very good view. Only 4euros for person, but free admission for Lisbon card. The place is very beautiful both from inside and outside. The highlight is on the fourth floor where you can see the fascinating view of Lisbon. Highly recommended.

Beautiful building. We came across it by chance and had to go visit. Did not regret it at all. You pay a couple euros and enter. The architecture is beautiful. Its definitely worth the walk up the stairs to see the view at the top. Took some really nice pictures as well.

It looked impressive from a distance. We decided to check it out. The place was mostly empty. We saw several tombs of famous Portuguese citizens. We climbed to the roof for amazing views.
