An odd place to sleep in. Rooms are very modern though integrated in the monastery. Extremely well kept. Great service and nice parking. Due to the thick walls there is nearly no internet inside, which has its advantages... Great breakfast. Excellent option for a weekend

A magnificent treasure. A sublime surprise that keeps on delivering wonder after wonder. A breathtaking location that offers a window into monastic life. Each detail is lovingly crafted, and the restoration is perfect. If you see anything in Braga, make sure you see this. You won't be disappointed. 6 stars!

Definitely the most beautiful Monastery I've been to (and I've been to a few). Definitely worth doing thw listening tour, was very informative and there was always something available to listen to. In total took about 3hours for us to tour the entire grounds, but it definitely worth it. The safe was so friendly and nice, and the atmosphere was amazing and beautiful as it was rich with so much history... Do ensure that you visit the beautiful lake on the grounds before leaving. Definitely a must see when in Portugal.

Such a beautiful monastery and church!it's full of history and quiet places in the gardens to wander. A place to visit if you go to Braga or the North of Portugal.

Lovely Saturday afternoon visit. 4 euro to visit, includes a rich audio guide on a handheld device with a version in English. Beautiful setting. Lovely walking trails outside. Well worth the visit. The church is beautiful, but the other buildings are also informative in art and restoration.
