Very impressive. Loved the control at the top of the well which gave everyone a little time to enjoy the decent safely. The wait was 1 hour in a queue so if you can get there early in the day you will give yourself more time to enjoy the vast gardens and tunnels. There was also a pretty long queue for the house which only gave an opportunity to walk through one floor but again worth the wait.

This place was magical and opulent. It was great walking through those lavish rooms. And the gardens are nothing short of breathe taking. Varieties of magnificent plants and trees and fantastic coves. The artistic design and aesthetic is simply divine. My advice, however, is take a taxi from the bottom of the hill to the top when looking for this place...that was one serious hill and it wore me out. This place is a must see!

This is magical. What's not clear in the museum postings is that the well far proceeds the rest of Regaleira and supposedly was used by the Knights Templar for rituals. I'm not a historian, but the eerie feel of the well and tunnels definitely feel like something amazing happened there! Wonderful.

Steeped in more mystery than a Poirot novel, this is a truly unique experience. Rumoured to have been used by the Knights Templar, I took 2 visits down the well and through the cave structure below. With rooms leading off each stairwell, you are left to imagine how intrigue could quickly turn to terror and anguish for those taking part in initiation rituals. A fantastic highlight at Quinta, and a real standout from my Lisbon trip as a whole. Bravo!

Super pretty and very moody. Took some great pics there and me and my friend were shocked how deep this well is. It is really worth a visit and a great spot to take some cute selfies. Be aware that lots of other people will be there as well, but it is still a worthwhile experience.
