A well run, medium sized airport serving Porto (city of approx 2million residents and almost as many visitors!). Nornally efficient check in and security with decent food court inside and duty free shops with both local Porto produce and products and a food court. Immigration lines often slow as e-passport gates regularly closed and staffing levels pretty low even at peak times.

Not a large airport. But not too crowded. Well illuminated. Good food options so that you are never hungry! The washrooms could do with a bit better maintenance. Great duty free shops too. Food delivered to the planes from this airport, Really good( flew Turkish air from this airport)

Medium sized airport which is fairly comfortable. Just be aware that if you have an international flight you will need to go through customs which isn't that clear as the customs is just before the gates. The customs lines are pretty slow as there aren't that many booths.

This is a very pleasant airport. Bright, comfortable and spacious with glass panels letting sunlight rain down, along with providing passengers fantastic views airside. Good choice of places to eat and relax, even if they are somewhat expensive, and staff are friendly and welcoming. Check in and security were relatively quick and straightforward. Transport access is very good, as the airport is at a reasonable distance from the city centre. There are quite a wide range of destinations to fly to, including Newark, Luanda and even São Paulo. I do feel the airport should expand its number of routes, to places other than Portuguese speaking countries. Some downsides are: 1. Too few routes. 2. While served by the metro, be warned as it will take quite a while to reach the city centre (I took a taxi so it wasn't an issue for me, but take it as a word of caution.) 3. Gate 1, which is behind passport control, is fairly empty bar some vending machines and toilets. Be prepared for that. Otherwise, excellent.

I miss the water fountains. There is only one for this big airport and it was out of service. Otherwise it is a pleasant airport.
