Calçada Nova de São Francisco nº14, 1200-300 Lisboa, Portugal
Unassuming front of restaurant, but then you are led to a lovely outdoor terrace in a courtyard. Warm welcome of small biscuits for our little dog who is also allowed inside. Friendly service but a little forgetful at times. Food was tasty, especially the rice dish. Will visit again and try other offerings.
We stumbled on this place only because the restaurant at the front of this little hidden square was too disorganized to find a table for 9. I tried 4 of the menu items here and they were all spectacular. The almond encrusted cod, the grilled octopus, the traditional cod or shrimp egg, potato and onion dish are all completely different yet each find a way for that specific seafood to shine. Add to this a brilliant antipasto and top notch sangria, yoh are in for a great evening. I'm not a review writer but this place deserved it for the sheer class it brought to every dish in relaxed easy to enjoy atmosphere.
We waited over an hour to get our food. The place was full and nobody is getting anything besides the drinks for the whole hour which made a lot of tables complain and start to get irritated. Service is really slow and unacceptable. Food is quite tasty tho, but i would never go back or even recommend this because of the experience we had.
Service is slow and they forgot my order. It took an hour to get the grilled octopus. The staff did not know how to process all different types of payment. But to be fair, the taste was incredible, to the point I would forgive all the drawbacks. Price is very fair and reasonable. Very nice outdoor seating area too
Quaint, nice place. We went there late at night, and the waiters seemed obviously tired, but made a lot of effort to stay friendly and bright. The food was pretty good, and the ambience inside was lovely. However, outside back, there was a bar that was pretty noisy, so if you want a quiet meal and it's late at night, I'd stay indoors.
