Amazing, must visit if you are around Tomar. If you don't want to take the boat, my suggestion you can take a cross walk to the opposite side of the wharf direction. Many rocks but easy step. Then you can see a better scene of the Castle with the river across you

It’s awesome to look at. The castle tours are not well organized at all!! Best bet? Have a coffee and the neighboring shop and enjoy the view.

This is our new favourite coffee shop for breakfast or lunch time sandwiches and pastries. The lady that runs the place is amazing. She does everything from preparing your coffee or sandwich to working the sales counter, serving tables, clearing tables, washing dishes and cleaning the floors etc. With great efficiency and a smile and pleasant attitude. Amazing.

A great visit for our friends and family. Very picturesque and loads of boards telling its story and history. We prefer to come in the quiet season. Not too busy and the only down side is the cafe is shut, but Torres Nova is always our next stop.
