Kukulkan, Zona Hotelera, 77500 Cancún, Q.R., Mexico
Take the Red Route 1 bus from downtown / along the hotel zone for 12 pesos. Tell driver "Playa Delfines" Great beach with a large CANCUN sign for selfies/photos although there was a HUGE line when we were leaving in the afternoon. There are shaded areas and people come around offering beers, water + food. The ocean isn't rough and the water is warm. Bathrooms available for a peso or two.
Very nice and not too crowded public beach. It is mostly clean and the waves are not that high. Nice spot for beginners to learn surfing. The bus stop is right at the road and there are restaurants in walking distance.
We came during seaweed season in August and also the waves were strong but if you don't mind either you can enjoy swimming alongside the waves as they rock your body back and forth 😂. Water is also relativey shallow so as long as you aren't crazy and try to swim beyond the waves you'll be able to touch the ground. Public showers close 5 p.m. Nearby you can find the Cancun sign where a small line is formed for those wanting a nice memory of your trip to Cancun with a beach background.
Incredible beach with public access and views of the Hotel Zone.. White sand as far as you can see.. Lots of parking but gets busy on the weekends.. Careful swimming, very strong under currents.. Great place for photos.. Food n drinks on site
Beautiful clean water umbrella table and chairs around 250 pessos. Food a bit pricey but overall everything was excellent
