This place was as beautiful as it is amazing. We went through twice, once with a guide and then a 2nd day to appreciate what the guide told us at our own pace. Take time to look at the structures and the details on each you absorb the overall beauty of it's location and scenery. Go early, the lines get long near Miss day. After you have finished, enjoy a cold, fresh coconut from one of the vendors on the way back to your ride. Overall, this will be a very memorable day.

The most beautiful views! Definitely worth going. We went in April and it was pretty warm so definitely bring water or a hat. There are guides available to explain the history of each building and monument so if you like history, it’s a good time. There are multiple cliffs with gorgeous views of the ocean.

Beautiful grounds and fascinating history, but get there early!! We got there a few minutes before 8 am and were the first ones in when they opened. We had the place to ourselves and saw everything in 30 minutes of lovely, quiet contemplation. When we left at 8:30 am, the were already HORDES of noisy tourists coming in. The whole mood shifted and we were glad to be able to dip out when we did.

Great historical sight. Filled with amazing ruins. You can book guides at the site or arrange as part of a private tour before you go. Food and lots of drinks are available. Prices are high as reflected by its tourist volumes. Tip: spend some time at the amazing beaches and restaurants of Tulum as well.

Amazing place. You should definitely go. Really interesting to explore the ruins of the Mayan civilization, and you can climb one of the towers for a panoramic view over the jungle which helps give a scale to it (its effing huge) But go in the morning or late afternoon. Stinking hot in the afternoon in the jungle with no breeze. We did a 1.5 hr tour with one of the local Mayan guides (drove ourselves there). Paid 1100 pesos. Not sure if we got ripped off, they don't list the prices. Tried to charge us a 100 peso fee for paying by card at the end. If you want to pay by card I suggest negotiating it and paying before you start the tour, that way you stay in control.
