Cozumel, Quintana Roo, Mexico
After my first visit to the island, on a cruise stop, I would consider a few days to a week of vacation here. A great place to just relax, and see a few things while visiting. The local people were very inviting and appreciate your business.
Beautiful waters, and great tequila. Best advice I can give you is don’t wander away from the excursions. The area is polluted with scam artists and hustlers.
If you are trying to decide which place to go in this area, choose this island. You will love the memories you make here. You'll feel safe and free to explore.
Had an amazing time here.
We did a Jeep tour to the Eco park to check out the crocodile lagoon (it was HUGE) with a tall scenic tower, a Mayan weather tower (it's been buried throughout the years, but the windows and top remain), tequila tasting, snorkeling, and traditional Mexican food. The Jeeps could use a little help with the air conditioning, but otherwise it was very nice. The food was incredible! Beach was gorgeous and well maintained with chairs and umbrellas and the water was crystal clear. Some vendors but certainly NOT the pushy types that we're used to being on a Carnival Cruise excursion. Absolutely gorgeous!
