This is a really interesting place to wander round. Make sure you get there before 2pm when many of the shops and stalls begin to pack up. It’s a really busy and popular place for both tourists and locals and you’ll be amazed at all the delights on offer. Endless seafood available to purchase or eat straight away, as well as stalls selling trinkets and household items. There’s a really good atmosphere, no pressure to buy anything you don’t want and a really good insight into local culture. If you don’t like the smell of fish, be warned, but grin and bear it because it’s really worthwhile. This was one of my favourite places in this part of the city and you’d be mad not to have a wander through.

Incredibly fresh seafood and food stalls everywhere. Go get some sushi in the alley restaurants for the most buttery and delicious sushi ever. It's a little pricey, around 2500 yen for the cheapest option, but so worth it. They also have oysters on the streets for 500 yen and they're HUGE. They are such an experience as they're super creamy and rich - they explode in your mouth.

This is THE Place For authentic fresh seafood. Especially fresh sushi. Must go early to witness the fish auction in action. Very unique the Japanese auctions the fishes. This place literally serves the best fresh seafood in Japan. The price also very reasonable and have plenty of varieties to choose. Must visit!!!

The best place to go in Tokyo if you want an authentic sushi experience. You can see the fish auction in the morning or visit one of the many sushi restaurants. The lunch menus have some good deals and some of the shops are 24 hours.

Great place to find all sorts of seafood... it is a fish market after all! But, if you've seen one, you've seen them all. Much the same, same food and same prices. If you do not like the feeling to be ripped off.. as these pricing are high, even though you would think it should be cheaper coming from the market!... it's not. I discovered while walking around the outer areas of the market (few streets away), you get same quality and quantity for 10-20% cheaper. So look to yourself what you want. Note, do not head out there during weekends between 10am - 12pm #MassCongestion
