Very touristy. Ideal if you're visiting Dublin or have friends who are visiting Dublin and you want to show them some of the real Irish folklore. Really nice food and good portions served. The have the option of a three course meal + Irish show, which is nice.

The pub itself is really quaint and exactly what you'd expect a pub to be like. It wasn't the cleanest place to eat with spiderwebs in corners of the building. But the atmosphere was nice. They had a man playing music while we ate our dinner and it made it quite nice. The food was good, albeit a bit on the pricey side. My wife and I both ordered some seafood dishes and the seafood was quite fresh and the food was plentiful. I'd call the food pretty average for most of the places we ate around the country, though. The service at the restaurant was good. Our waitress was very kind and we were treated quite well by everyone there. Given that there aren't a lot of options as the area is pretty rural and spread out, it's not a bad place to eat but next time I'd probably make different plans.

Okay, your friends from other countries (especially the US) know TWO things about Ireland: Ireland has lots of great pubs with traditional Irish food. Everyone dances and sings at the pubs, and it's amazing. This is the place that proves them right! The dinner, the music, the hooley show, the location and the history... unmatched and unmatchable. If you take your friends to see anything while they're in town, take them here. Book in advance, take the shuttle (singing with everyone on the way back down is the icing on the cake!) And prepare yourselves for a most memorable night. It's a little pricey, the drinks are expensive (6 euro for a Club rock shandy? Really?....) BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER! It's all worth it. You'll have a blast, so will your friends. Go and enjoy!

Quirky pub in the mountains behind Dublin. Small cosy rooms, large performance room. Great beers and good food. Excellent for small or large (probably best to book at night) groups.
