Our tour guide (Aenne) was amazing! She provided great insight into the show as well as filming in general. You could tell she had a true passion for Game of Thrones. The Tollymore forest was beautiful and the other castles and ruins were very cool to see.

We really enjoyed our tour! Our tour guide Eric was upbeat and funny. You can tell he loves the show.... In fact he's on it! He was great about asking who on the tour wasn't caught up and asked that no one spoil it. We got to see many sights where they filmed in the earlier seasons. The Forrest was simply amazing. Plus they had winterfell like capes and real swords to dress up in for photo opportunities. I would recommend to any GOT fan.

Getting on the bus this morning, I was excited but did not want to set my expectations too high and wind up disappointed. Now that the day is over, I can safely say that I could have set my expectations to the moon and would still be blown away at how great this day was on the Dublin Winterfell Trek. Our guide was Eric, who was not only an actual actor from Game of Thrones with a wealth of endless behind the scenes knowledge and charisma to keep the entire bus enthralled with the information being passed along, but a true fan himself. It is one thing for somebody working in the tourism industry to pay the bills, but Eric clearly cares deeply for Game of Thrones and wants to share his enthusiasm with other fans as well. The Trek itself takes you through the beautiful Northern Ireland forests where you don a cloak and suddenly feel like you are inside the show. My grandfather and I came on this trip together. He is a huge Game of Thrones fan himself. At 86 years old though, he had to spend some of the time on the bus instead of hiking through the woods. But the thing is, he is so happy to have been a part of this and even just the experience of putting on a cloak and holding a sword has made this trip unforgettable. There are no illusions in my mind that one day I will only have memories and pictures left of my grandfather, and I consider myself truly lucky to know that the memories made today will always be some of the most important and wonderful.Thank you Eric and thank you Game of Thrones Tours.
