Very Bad Experience with the travel agency..Mr. Lalit Gurung given us the package. He provided his manager Mr. Tenzing Dorjee Sherpa for our assistance. We travelled with my 5 years old kid. They have asked for 45K for Siliguri to Siliguri 4 days tour for Dzuluk and Arithar and Gantok. We have paid 25 K as advance. At the time of journey for Dzuluk Mr. Tenzing did not tell us about the non availability of Pass for Dzuluk but also put us in trouble by forcing to stay in Nathang valley. The driver was not known to the road after Baba Mandir. literally we were not in safe hand and no mobile network was present. It was horrible experience. Driver took the wrong route while going the Nathang village. The Car trapped into mud and we had to take own initiative to release the car at night around 9 PM by paying extra money. Finally we came back to Gangtok on 2nd day. After reaching when we told the agent about the experience, they ignored everything and blame us for non-coperation and asked for balance money to continue service. Helplessly we went to Sadar Police Station to get clarification on our dealing with the agency. Gantok Police, we must tell that the best police I have ever seen. They listened our every problem carefully and checked the communication in Whatsapp and called the agent to come at Sadar PS and told them to solve the issue without delay. Finally we got justice and agent been forced to provide us service by dropping at Siliguri on Next day. We have not taken any service during our stay in Gantok from the Agency. Our suggestion to all the travellers if you are planning to book any tour package through online, plz check their reviews online and registration with Sikkim Tourism.

To begin with, we did not have a pleasant experience touring with Tamu tours and travels. It is also seen that the package offered to us was slightly on the higher side. Though we were aware that the travel agents usually charge the amount slightly more for the packages, despite that we proceeded only to ensure that the trip will go without any hassle. We had also made it very clear at the outset that we wanted to cover entire of sikkim and darjeeling, since we had a 10 day plan, but we were shocked when we found out that the places that were offered in the package were just rudimentary in nature, the package did not even cover the major destinations of sikkim except for pelling amd tsomogo lake, the planning could have been better by tamu tours and travels. Also, we were shown only two points in Kalimpong. I was forced to shell extra Rs.2500 if at all I wanted to see Namchi,as, otherwise my entire day would have been wasted, because for one day where we found out that it hardly takes 2 and a half hour from kalimpong to gangtok and that there was nothing planned for that day,to which Mr. tenzing, our tour manager responded that it was there for us to take rest. God, who comes for a sightseeing/tour place to take rest. I regret for booking the tour in haste. Now coming to the vehicle part, the driver assigned to us for our darjeeling tour was just not friendly enough, he used to drop us far away from the entrance of the sightseeing places forcing us to take some extra miles throughout the day, while the other two drivers, one who picked us up from Bagdogra airport to darjeeling and another who was there for our sikkim tour were very friendly and kind. As regards to the hotel, they were Ok type. Hotels though in Gangtok and Pelling were good. Final piece of advise to you all planning tours to sikkim is to just do enough research about the itinerary offered and ascertain whether the places given are worth visiting.Gather information about the travel agents from various forum. Do not book in haste even if tempted.

This review is for "Sikkim Darjeeling Taxis", "Sikkim Tours" and "Tamu Tours & Treks" We have just completed our tour. I tried to reach the Manager Tenzing from Darjeeling but he never returned my call. he must be thinking that his responsibility got over once we left Gangtok. Their taxi service from bagdogra to Gangtok , Gangtok to Darjeeling was good. Xylo condition was good & comfortable . Sanjay was a Good driver & Person but the quality of service provided by their partner Sanjay, Darjeeling Taxi service was really irresponsible. We have requested him to send the vehicle by 9.00 AM to hotel for the sight seeing but there was an issue with his vehicle and he had sent an alternate old innova from another service provider. Driver was not having any idea of what he needed to do. With the itinerary in hand , i directed him to go to different places. As a person the driver was polite but he was not having the real zeal to take us to different places. He wanted to finish off the tour in 3 - 4 hours time . Next day we got our vehicle in Time. Amol was the driver . Polite , good person. But again old Innova .Xylo was far better in terms of comfort. We left from our Hotel at 8.40 AM. Amol was telling us to skip Pasupathi market since we have started late . I have enquired with hotel staff and other people on this and requested him to go ahead as per our original plan of visiting pasupathy market and Mirik lake . He failed to guide us properly . We finished our purchasing in 40 minutes time and left for Mirik lake. Traffic police intercepted us in Mirik and demanded Amol to produce vehicle documents and Licence. Unfortunately driver was not carrying his Licence as it was already confiscated by the police in Darjeeling and he was holding some other slip on his hand as the proof. Trying to prove us and police that he was right in his terms. but i felt that his argument was unacceptable and Sanjay shouldn't have sent amol as our driver. Here we lost another precious 1 hour. we have seen Mirik lake from parking area and left for bagdogra . Reached Airport at around 2.15 PM. Mr. Lalit charged us the Taxi fare in advance and the service provided in Darjeeling was below average. It doesn't worth for the money we have paid in there considering quality of service, driver and his guidance. When a tourist is coming from some other part of Country, It's the responsibility of tour operator and driver to guide in a proper way. It's big miss with his agency. When we were in Srinagar , Kashmir - the driver and service provider went out of the way to shown us the places what we wanted to see . Here we were at the mercy of their services after paying the taxi charges in advance. They wanted to stick to their own itinerary only . The payment term with any of parts of India we have visited used to be 50% advance and the remaining had to be paid on or before last day of the tour. Here it's 100% advance. We can Trust on them but the service provided for the money they charged is not worth . They are OK only for Gangtok tour . Better look for other option too .

Polite and humble people I have been to many hill stations before but people in Sikkim are very polite and give respect to the tourists. I have took the package of Taxi for my Sikkim and Darjeeling tour and both Taxi drivers (Sikkim Taxi's are not allowed in Darjeeling for local site seeing) were very polite and advised the best to me for places to visit. Mr. Lalit Gurung provide best services for us

Now I have choose only 02 * as I have just booked for 2 days 1 night tour package for 28th & 29th April and paid Rs 8000 as advance for 5 persons. Rest Rs 10000 I have to pay after arrival at Gangtok before commencing the tour. I do not know anything about the performance, standard of this travel agent. I have booked and going forward on positive thinking. I will write my experience after availing the package/tour. I would like to hope that everything will be nice. Yes I have availed their service from 28th and 29th April and I am totally satisfied with their services and performance. They provided a good car, Xylo, with a good gentleman driver. I would like to recommend to directly contact with the MD, Mr Lalitji, for any deal.
