Öskjuhlíð, 105 Reykjavík, Iceland
This was amazing! I’m a scientist and I can honestly say it was well done! It was not overly wordy but also not dumbed down. It has some great interactive areas for kids. Great way to spend a rainy day in Reykjavik.
A definite must when you visit Iceland!!!! Well worth the highest tier ticket experience. The planetarium show on Aurora Borealis was amazing and very detailed! The exhibition of nature and history of Iceland was very informative and had gorgeous displays. The interactive areas were a big hit too. Walking through the ice caves were really exciting too, we could touch the walls and walk around at our leisure. The staff was very helpful and friendly, thank you for the experience Iceland ❤
The best museum I found in Iceland. The Aurora film is definitely worth the extra charge. I really enjoyed the glacier exhibit. Make sure to check out the view of the city from the top.
Perlan was average. In my opinion only the norther lights video was worth the money. Everything else was similar to other museums around the world. If you haven't been to any museum before this is worth the time and money. Overall, the building is wonderful to look at from the outside but paying money for the exhibits is not worth the money.
I very much liked this place. The museum exhibits are very interesting and very well put together. I learned so much here!! They also really embraced the latest technology for museum exhibits here. Iceland has such an interesting and different history than anywhere else. We bought the combo ticket. The planetarium show was cool. Ice cave was insane! How did they do that!?!?!?! Gift shop was good, we didn't go to the restaurant but it looked very nice and so did the menu. This is a great stop if you have the time in the city.
