Well-stocked supermarket operated by the Icelandic Krónan chain, centrally located just off of Route 1. In addition to products for everyday needs, you will also find other products here, such as hygiene products, frozen goods, drinks and household goods. The supermarket is well laid out and has ample parking space. The prices are okay compared to the overall Icelandic standard.

We are very disappointed. We are running 2 business in South Iceland and we are shopping in this kronan weekly, disappointing that the supervisor of the the store dosn’t know hospitality. She should be removed from the store her level of service is not to be among people. She has mentioned we need to pre order, if we need more than few items when we asked for phone number she screamed ,,google it”. Her wording is not to be among people you will never see her smile or help people just being nice to the people she knows. It is a bother for her if we buy the things before the tourist ? Strangely in Vik the crew members are nice and not aggressive. We are never coming here to leave our money thanks to this lovely lady. The manager of the company should double check who they place to be a supervisor. She humiliated me couple of times and I am just feed up with her.

Came to to shop here twice. Once to get some groceries like rice, pasta, meat, salmon, water, milk, soda, fruite and veggies for our stay in the area. And once to grab some snacks and sweets to bring home. They got some good selection of snacks here. It's smaller sized Kronan. The difference to a big one is mostly the fresh meat, fruit and veggie selection. There's a pretty limited amount and also a lot less variety. We wanted some nice icelandic lamb chops. Didn't have any. Only some that were marinated already. Not our first choice, but they turned out to be quite enjoyable. In the end we got everything we needed, just need to be a bit flexible with our dinner plans. But some shelfs were pretty empty I gotta say. All in all it was a fine option. Not the biggest, not the best. But fine to get some basic groceries.

Stopped at the Hvolsvollur location. Love going to grocery stores wherever we travel and this one didn't disappoint! The packaging was eye catching and I made heavy use of Google translate to figure out what was what. Lots ofnsnack and candy options so we loaded up for our trip and for souvenirs. Friendly staff and clean store. Fun!
