The croissants were really good. Light and flaky. Enjoyed the pear croissant and pistachio croissant. It was so good we had a plain croissant to take away. Wanted to try more flavours but I couldn't eat so many in one setting. Not a fan of the coffee though. Cafe was spacious and comfortable. Great place to visit if you are around the area!
We found this great Cafe by just searching Google maps and we are glad we did. The service was excellent, the cakes were delicious, the cafe was comfortable and warm. We used the time to plan our next trips out and time just drifted by, so much so that they came to us and said due to the fact they closed 5 minutes ago would we mind moving to the bar. Usually you get told 15 minutes before they close to make a move. How pleasant this was. We definitely recommend this cafe for the excellent service they provided.
Had a great experience at Hygge Coffee & Micro Bakery. The sandwich with red curry mayo was a delight, and the hazelnut pastry? Possibly the best I've ever had. Top-notch service, too. Highly recommend!
Just outside the center of downtown, closer to the harbor district, we found Hygge coffee. Just as the name would imply, it was a minimalistic cafe serving delicious pastries and coffee to match. They have larger seating area where many were sitting behind screens and enjoying the ambience. Though the power strangely kept cutting in and out, we were able to order our iced lattes, pistachioroll, and madeleine and sat at a communal table to enjoy our treats. The coffee was good, but the pistachio roll was incredible. I'd go back just for that.
Excellent coffee and pastries. Location was walking distance from where we were staying. Ample seating and a nice chill vibe. Will definitely visit again when we’re back in Reykjavík.
