The view is spectacular! It's quite popular with tourists but still you get to enjoy view which is definitely worth going. Be careful when taking the stairs as stones can be quite slippery

Drive your and half to get there but was nice seeing the Greek villages and the winding rounds going up the mountain...views are spectacular. Ruins spiritual, quiet. Walking shoes advised as steep stairs to get up to the castle. Not as many steps as I imagined as looks more than actually is... A must see bit of history.

The view is spectacular. There's enough ruins to get your imagination in gear, but as with so many ruins in Greece it's up to you to figure everything out. If you want information you need to read up, there's no info on site. It's worth the drive, especially if you add a visit to the beach below.

To be honest... It was a great adventure driving there for 1,5 hours, seeing the real Rhodes and its countryside. But if it wasn't for the trip I would be disappointed in what Monolithos has to offer.

Small, but extremely authentic - almost no modern reconstructions. Good checkpoint if you are traveling with a car around the island, like we did. Nice view, refreshments before the climb, toilets
