Went once only in the time of its renewal but now. Wow, just amazing work and on top of all, its so peaceful. There are even some pigeons that fly over the mosque as the place is well known for raising pigeons by the householders. A unique spiritual experience on the soul and on the eye.

One of the oldest university mosque's in the world. And very impressive, marble courtyard. Domes and minaret, first mosque established in Cairo. Women friendly. Make sure to take water with you on the visit. Shops behind the mosque.

‎ما شاء الله‬ very peaceful and beautiful mosque! One of the oldest mosques in Islamic Cairo! Not only It is this a place of historical importance, it still serves as a meeting point for those studying Islam ‎الحمد لله‎‬
