This private day trip takes you to view Salto del Tequendama (Tequendama Falls), located on the Bogotá River. Getting there is made easier with a private vehicle and driver-guide to show the way, with the added bonus of a scenic journey to Hacienda Coloma for a delicious taste of Colombian coffee.
After getting picked up, we'll depart Bogota, traveling in the direction of the Tequendama jump, which takes around 5 hours to complete.
The landscapes contained in & around the Tequendama jump are quite impressive and have made the jump a place not only a very important tourist attraction but also a rallying point for the local environmentalists who want to see the river rid of its pollution. The contamination of the river first generated interest for the cause after it caused the closure of the luxurious Hotel El Salto, which was founded in 1928 and was known for its architecture.
Finally, we'll continue our journey to the city of Fusagasugá to visit the hacienda of some truly epic coffee. The Hacienda Coloma's gardens and coffee plants will leave us in love with the nature of this region.
