The place is a bit of everything all in one. For a family restaurant we definitely got more of a pub vibe in the evening. The little store is neat and it's cool that there's bowling and billiards too if you want. That being said, it can be loud because of that. Our food was good though, great fish and chips. Tempura prawns with teriyaki were incredible. We were really impressed! The fries and gravy were delicious, above par! My only suggestion would be that if you are serving such delightful battered fish, ditch the store bought tartar sauce and make your own homemade. That would elevate it to the next level for sure!

This short and squat lighthouse standing barely twenty feet high is a concrete white painted building with a red cap holding the light on top. It is located at the mid-point of the circular Wild Pacific Trail at the extreme south end of Ucluelet town at the edge of the Pacific Ocean. The point is known as the Amphitrite Point named after the Greek Goddess of the sea. One cannot enter the lighthouse which is still operational, though now it is fully automated. Earlier it was manned by the Canadian Coast Guard and they have an office nearby at the parking lot. The view all around is spectacular and there are benches on the trail where you can sit and admire the scenery.

Great walk/hike. There are a couple of steep bits to get up. Lots of places to see views and have a rest on the benches. The lighthouse it very photogenic. We were there at sunset, it was great.

I love this trail. One of the most gorgeous places I've been to in Canada. Easy walk, very few hills. About one hour if you don't stop, but the whole point is to take in the views so give yourself about 3 hours to really enjoy the many viewpoints.

This lighthouse location can be reached either by taking the lighthouse hiking trail loop or by driving up to the nearby carpark and taking a short stroll. The location not only offers views of the lighthouse, but also great views of the seaside. If you're passing through or staying in Ucluelet, this place is worth visiting.
