My family and I would have really enjoyed this. There are tons of fun things to do and everything there is BEAUTIFUL. However, we received very little direction on how to navigate the park. We ended up spending over HALF of our time there just trying to find different things. Eventually, we were so exhausted from all the searching that we decided to leave two hours early. Unfortunately for us, it took us FORTY MINUTES to find our way out. I absolutely hate to leave negative reviews, so I only do this to truly warn people. We spent about $170 each to do this as an excursion on a cruise, and we very much regretted it. If you are going to do this, be prepared for lots of walking and make sure you have a good navigator in your group. Also, only do the 'lazy river' ride if you're prepared for lots of bumps and bruises. It is called the Rapid River for a reason.

Beautiful place. It was 150USD which included lunch. The water park is very good, the lazy river is fun, even if you break a few bones. Water slides are fast and you could easily waste a day alone in the water area. Beautiful beach, many pools, lots of stuff for little ones to do. You can venture onto the resort as well, lots of stores and aquariums to see. Definitely worth that money.

Aquaventure was fun, but not $500 fun. It would be significantly more enjoyable if they didn't nickle and dime you once you got in the park. 30 bucks for a locker, 80 bucks for 2 beers and a PBJ meal for your 2 kids is a bit over the top.

Slides and rapid river rock, food not so much The slides are generally great. At times you will have long lines. Especially the "Leap of Faith" slide sees at time significant lines. The "Leap of Faith" is overrated in my personal opinion. The best slide is the "Abyss". "The Surge" is my favorite tube slide. If you want to leave some of the daily cruise ship crowd behind - they tend to get stuck at the Mayan Temple pool by the "Leap of Faith", go over to the "Power Tower". Many times "The Abyss" and "Surge" have short lines, especially until around 11am. By that time the cruise ship crowd has done the "Leap of Faith". Two areas where you can usually find chairs and shade are for one next to the rapid river entrance #1.Go by the kids pool on the hotel side and cross the bridge to get there. The other nice area is the pool next to "cove beach". Cove beach is a really nice beach. Avoid the Atlantis beach unless you want to rent a wave rider. Now, food is generally of the American fast food variety. It is way overpriced but unless you want to leave the park, it is your only option. At times there are long lines for food. Again, the further you are away from the cruise ship crowd at the Mayan Temple, the better usually things are. Mondays are generally cruise ship free. Make sure you include a Monday as a full day when you visit the Atlantis water park. Last but not least, the fish at the large aquarium get fed at every day at 8am and 3pm except for Mondays. Make sure you are outside on top when the feeding frenzy is on. Pretty cool to see the Manta getting fed. Overall, food two stars but slides are 5 stars. Given that you go there for the slides and the rapid river, for stars overall.

So much fun! For young and old. Well...not too young because they are VERY strict about their height requirements. The Abyss water slide has a great initial drop - basically 90° The drinks are super overpriced, but good and heavy on the alcohol. They have towels there and you can also walk down to the beach, rinse off and back to the park. Plenty of sitting and louging areas and we went in October, so no lines for the rides 😁 and the weather was amazing!
