Beautiful building. The interior is definitely a must see. The musicians were highly talented and the cast that we saw was superb. It's clear that the crowd here really loves the Opera as they applauded so long at the end of the performance that the cast had to reappear more than 5 times! We definitely will be coming back for more performances.

I was truly unfortunate to visit Vienna during the Opera’s days off. But even though, every opera and art fan is recommended to do the tour, it’s totally worth it and you’ll get to visit backstage and listen to amazing stories and facts about the opera. The building and architecture itself are marvellous

lovely check out this place when there is an opera going on inside as you can see it for free outside on the big screen. JUST that is worth that time getting to the opera house in the middle of the Vienna city. it's very cool architecture but you cannot go inside unless you buy a ticket. after the show make sure you go to sacker for a good dessert!!! That is right across the street. Anyway the Opera House is very important for city. Make sure you stop on by.

A wonderful place with great acoustics. I enjoyed the opera even in the depth of a lodge where I could see nothing but hear everything, and the sound was live, it had volume. From the opera houses I visited this is one of the best.

Yet another unmissable highlight of Vienna - the magnificent opera house. The only way to see this as a tourist rather than an opera-goer is to queue up for one of the tours (once or twice day - multi-lingual). These are v popular so you should drive well before the tour start time. Well worth doing.
