S Head Heritage Trail, Watsons Bay NSW 2030, Australia
Not the easiest place to get to as there are some pretty good steps and some walking involved. Once you do get to the area it is amazing. The view is really beautiful, the breeze coming in from the sea, the raw nature of the surf against the rocks and the park is clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend spending some time here and if needed you can check out the nude beach on the way ... or not.
A nice place to take in a quiet afternoon, away from the hustle + bustle of Sydney, if you fancy. I didn't find this to be as picturesque as anticipated. Likely due to it facing away from the city. Nonetheless, I still would recommend it to a tourist, as it is a nice walk from Watson's Bay and still offers a good experience for an afternoon.
Great views of South Head. Easy walking distance from the bus stop and along the foreshore path. If you're lucky you might even spot a whale. This is the place to be for the Boxing Day Sydney to Hobart race but be quick as it gets rather crowded. Oh and don't forget your camera.👍🇦🇺😎
A marvellous and unique view. You need to walk for a while through a fantastic way to the lighthouse keeper’s cottage and then to the historical lighthouse. You can see Lady bay beach on your way which is a lovely clothing-optional beach. You’ll see the signs that mention not to take a photo of naked people on the beach and also not to bring a dog. I recommend you to read the book, ‘Grace Darling’ before going there because it helps you to use your imagination while watching crazy waves and wild cliffs and also to understand the importance of lighthouses to save lives.
Incredible incredible incredible- even if you live in Sydney it makes you feel like you're on some tropical island. Lots of cool ruins from what looks like war bunkers/ AA gun mounts which is awesome to explore too.
