I think I must be out of touch. This is a Cafe that charges like a wounded bull. Check out the wine list (Cafe wine list) and the cheapest bottle is over $65, with most around $80 to $100. Food is reasonably good, but not outstanding. Surroundings are pleasant, but not fantastic. I just don't get it. I wanted a reasonably priced lunch with alcohol and ended up paying $150 per head for something that was really pleasant but just deli/bar/bistro quality. Much better value elsewhere. I think the many empty tables tell the story.

Really enjoyed my visit here. Delicious and unique menu, excellent service, beautiful ambience. Highly recommended.

Love it! So many tasty treats. So many delicious drinks! Served by cruisy, knowledge staff. Think sherries are what your grandmother drank before dinner? Think again: ask to try some. There are a couple of Amontillados that are deliciously nutty. Think that tinned food is second-rate fresh food? Used to be the case if produced in Australia, but the French and Spanish tin some of their best produce. If you have the tinned Galician clams, sip the luxurious juice from the tin - don't be shy! If you don't want to, call me, and I will!

I have been to this restaurant a few times and it’s a solid and consistent performer. The service is great - staff are always attentive. The atmosphere is enjoyable and the food is amazing.

The most substantial selection of chartreuse I’ve ever seen. Bartender was happy to walk me through the range, which was much appreciated. Also the best Bloody Mary I’ve had, and the best Manhattan I’ve ever had from a can. Will return!
