Sheshi Skënderbej, Tirana, Albania
Used to be a nightmare roundabout, now it is a good place to walk and relax with your family. A couple of water fountains can put a smile on the children's faces. Some other water features are on the pavement itself, where I thought it was a burst pipe. The parking underneath is a god send, as it is difficult to park anywhere else. Still more work is to be done, so hopefully they'll be carried out in time.
An amazing beautiful town square, especially after it’s been reconstructed from the original. It maintains its uniquely Albanian heritage while making you feel like your in the heart of Europe. Be sure to check out the museum for artifacts that are equal to almost anything else you’d find in southern Europe, other than the major ones of course!
Ideal place to begin exploration of Tirana. Opera, National Museum, Equestrian Statue of Skandarbeg, many government buildings, and the energetic people of the city can be witnessed from this place, I call this a nerve centre of vibrant, charming city.
Skanderberg. You had an intelligent mind. But remember you were trained by the ottomans. So give them respect too.
Very spacious and nice to walk around plus on the way to the main bar area so nice to walk at night.
