2 Công xã Paris, Bến Nghé, Quận 1, Hồ Chí Minh 710009, Vietnam
A well-maintained piece of beautiful colonial French architecture. in its hey days the place connected Vietnam and the world, but these days it's a tourist market, where tourists can send post cards to family and friends back home, or sign up for day-tours. one can also purchase souvenirs and local knickknacks here. including hand-made silver jewelry and perfumes. You won't feel the atmosphere of a post office anymore, though. a magnificent painting of Ho Chi Minh hangs at the back, directly opposite the entrance, along with grand painted maps of South Vietnam and Cambodia, and another of the greater Saigon area, on opposite walls, just inside of the entrance
Interesting place of interest. Worth a visit to have a feel of the crowd there. Many go there to send postcards overseas to their loved ones. This post office has a nice area with tables and chair for people to write notes/postcards to loved ones.
This post office is the most beautiful places that I have ever visited in my whole life. And it is worth visiting for tourist from another country like me. Definitely will revisit again this place when I travel to Vietnam back.
Legacy of past time, kept the way of what it looks like as before. Old structure adopts amount of iron and steel to built the framework, painted surface would have seen the history of old times rolling. Rust spot surrounding but doesn’t hide the beautiful of how it should be. It still work as how it should work as a post office but the shops and stores have been bringing too many tourist and the commercial activities.
Saigon central post office has a charming atmosphere. You can buy here souvenirs and send some postcards in good old style.
