Classic waterfront restaurant. Love the view, service and food. The downstairs is a great traditional northwest restaurant. Great for a more formal occasion. The upstairs cafe is great for more casual fare.
I have been wanting to try Rays Cafe for a while for a date night. We finally got the opportunity to go and surprisingly had a great time. The balcony was worth sitting at and the service was quick and friendly. I got the salmon sandwich While my significant other got the two piece fish and chips. We both split our meals and we left with some leftovers and felt so full (we ate fast!). A few comments, first we debated on if these were the best fish and chips we had purely on taste. It was very close and easily top three in the area. How we please bring back or do a happy hour. After reading reviews about it we were sad to hear they no longer supported it.
We decided to try Ray's on our last night in Seattle. Beautiful view! The bartender was a pleasure and the drinks were delicious. Once seated, our waitress was quick and pleasant. The food was good, nothing great but good. The waitress then basically disappeared. It appeared she was tied up with another group. We waited for quite a long time to order desserts and after dinner drinks. It left a bad taste as we had high hopes for this dinner. Not sure we will visit again of we ever make it back to Seattle.
Great view and great food. I had the halibut with roasted corn and cauliflower, cooked to perfection! They offer blankets if you are sitting outside and it gets a little chilly.
A landmark for a reason. Amazing fresh food and an equally amazing view. Add to this a professional and helpful staff and you can't help but have a great time.
