Thanon Phaya Thai, Ratchathewi, Bangkok 10400, Thailand
Impressive monument and obelisk preferably to be seen in dimmed light at sunrise or sunset (see my photo). The monument was constructed in 1941 to commemorate the Thai victory in the Franco-Thai war (although historians debate to which extent this was really a victory for the Thai). Most Thai people themselves prefer Democracy Monument which doesn't have the military-fascist influenced architecture of that era. Around the monument there's a very busy roundabout, a market and perhaps most famed is 'Boat Noodle Alley', where several restaurants offer this typical Thai distinguished dish consisting of broth, pigs blood, meat, veggies and some herbs. Although the ingredient 'pigs blood' may not be appealing to some westerners it's quite a delicious treat, certainly to be sampled when you are in this area.
Rendezvous for most people. Accessible to all places where vans, buses, BTS, etc. could be found.
Early morning waiting for klook day trip. Got food stall beside here.
Nice station. Safe and cheap means of transportation in the Busy Bangkok City where there is a lot of Traffic!
Wonderful station, full of small shops inside of it, like a waffle dealer or a bubble tea store. Also outside it's full of shopping mall that are very easy to reach thanks to the pedestrian bridge that takes you to the shops without getting down in the road. You can also take a lot of buses cause it's one of the main bus station and there are a lot of Van
