Very full of tourists, even in October. Beautiful views. The boat ride to the island is a must do. We also had dinner at the castle. Very steep climb which ended with gorgeous views. I wasn't overly impressed with the food but did enjoy the experience.

Bled Castle is a small but beautiful castle offering stunning views across Lake Bled and Lake Bled Island below as well as great views of the very scenic mountain range in all directions. We visited on a tour from Ljubljana, the walk from the car park to the castle entrance is quite steep, but the views at the top are worth it. You have to try the famous cake from the cafe there, one between two should be enough. It can imagine this would get extremely busy in peak times through the year.

Great views of the lake from inside the castle. The way up in foot is better suited to those who are very fit. If you have a car, it's easier to drive up. A very memorable visit.

Above the incredibly beautiful glacial Lake Bled, on a mighty steep cliff rising 130 meters high, is the iconic Bled Castle. It is one of the most visited historic and cultural attractions in Slovenia with over 300.000 annual guests. You have to pay an entrance fee to get into the grounds of the castle, but it is well worth it.

The castle itself is just fine, but the views from this point are the best. You will have to walk a little bit upwards and take many stairs, but I promise it's worthy! Just walk around, there are many viewpoint to different parts of Bled and the island. Be patient because is going to be crowded.
