Rainbow Mountain
Take a hike up Rainbow Mountain passing fluffy wild llamas, horses and alpacas along the trail, as you make your way up to the summit with spectacular views of the snowy peaks of the Peruvian Andes.
What to expect?
RAINBOW MOUNTAIN PERU
Pick up from the hotel between 3:30 and 4:00 am. We will take an approximate 2-hour journey to the town of Pitumarca, where we will enlist for the walk, and have our breakfast at around 6:30 am.
We start the walk up to Rainbow Mountain. This first part is 3 hours until you reach the vantage point of Vinicunca, where you will have a spectacular view of the snowy Ausangate and Rainbow Mountain. After having free time for some photos and contemplating this beautiful landscape, we will begin the descent back to the village of Pitumarca for a delicious lunch and then the return to Cusco at approximately 18:30 pm.
As an alternative to hiking, you can rent a horse for your comfort.
