On this 5-day trip, you'll explore areas in & around the city of Cusco, stopping at such notable attractions as the Sacred Vallet, the ruins of Machu Picchu, and the glacial Humantay Lake. What to expect?

Itinerary

Day 1: INCA MUSEUM – QORICANCHA

Stop At: Cusco

  • We will welcome you when you arrive in the city of Cusco. After having settled in your respective hotel, we will visit in the afternoon the following places: Inca Museum and Qoricancha.

  • We will start the visit of the Inca Museum, where you will learn a little more about the entire Inca Empire, its ceramics, textiles, Andean cosmology, and more. Qoricancha was the Temple of worship of the Sun (Inti) where the best offerings in goldsmithing were held.

  • We will end the day taking you to your hotel.

Day 2: CHINCHERO – MARAS – MORAY

Stop At: Sacred Valley of the Incas, Cusco Region

  • After pickup at your hotel, we'll head to the town of Chinchero where you'll check out some ancient Inca walls, along with a small colonial church that holds a lot of local history. You'll also get a brief lesson about the history & creation of Andean weavings. Continuing our visit, we will go to the famous circular cultivation terraces of Moray.

  • After this, we will descend towards the Salineras de Maras, and area rich in verdant landscapes. Here, we will visit the more than 3,000 salt wells that are produced, which were originally used by the Incas for their consumption. Finally, we will head towards the Ollantaytambo station to take the train that will take us to Aguas Calientes.

  • Meals included: Breakfast

Day 3: VISIT TO MACHU PICCHU

Stop At: Machu Picchu

  • After waking up around 4:30 am, well hop a bus from “Aguas Calientes” to the ruins of Machu Picchu. Our guide will provide you with all the information the have during a 2-hour guided tour.

  • After the tour, you will have time to tour the ruins on your own and take some amazing photos. We will return to “Aguas Calientes” to have lunch.

  • Finally, you'll take the train back to Ollantaytambo, after which you'll be driving back to your hotel in Cusco.

  • Meals included: Breakfast, lunch

Day 4: HUMANTAY LAKE

Stop At: Humantay Lake, Cusco, Cusco Region

  • Early, we will pick you up from your hotel to go to Mollepata where we will have breakfast.

  • After eating, we'll continue our trip to Soraypampa, our starting point for the walk. In the ascent, we will have the opportunity to observe the diverse flora and fauna that inhabit the area.

  • We can observe some native birds of the area, as well as get great views of the Andean landscape.

  • Once arrived in the area, we can enjoy our snacks, reached our goal we will be delighted with the spectacular views of the Humantay lagoon and its turquoise waters.

  • In the afternoon after lunch, we will return to the city of Cusco.

Day 5: TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT

Pass By: Cusco

  • Free morning so you can relax and/or visit the city.

  • In the afternoon or according to the schedule of your flight, we will take you to the airport for your departure to Lima.
