Wow, they really have everything here. Eight floors with different departments. Fair prices and friendly staff. I was looking for tools, and there was several valid options to choose from for my specific application.
It’s a department store that has a lot of interesting things to see. There is a hobby floor on the top and also a carpentry section that sells wood and tools. I mainly went to hunt down a wall clock and found a lot of cool selections. My only disappointment was that most clocks were radio and the staff told me it may not work in the US. A lot of Japanese designers within the clock sections. The stationary section was also nice and picked up a ton of stickers for my kids back home. Staff was very helpful, place was clean and well organized.
Tokyu Hands are fabulous shops and I wish they were in Australia! High quality small hand tools and materials. Many craft products, woodwork materials, calligraphy supplies and the best range of nail clippers I've seen anywhere. Visiting Tokyu Hands is an essential part of a visit to Japan.
A multi-level department store that has each floor dedicated to a specific specialty. My favourite is the stationery floor. They have a wide selection of Japanese and imported brands of stationery materials including pens. I usually spend at least 15 to 20 minutes each floor window-shopping, although I always end up buying stuff. So if you are trying to just window-shop and save your money, good luck!
Great home lifestyle store with everything you need for the home. A must visit if you want to shop for household goods but more importantly innovative and creative household goods. Start from the highest floor and work your way down.
