Bebek Bengil Crispy Duck - Ubud

Unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to expectations from my travel guide. The restaurant has beautiful, impressive gardens. My partner and I ordered the signature crispy duck dishes. They were good but didn’t stand out compared to other warungs/restaurants we’ve been too. Since it was around sunset and the gardens have a few ponds with lotus flowers, there were so many mosquitoes. There were also so many flies once our food arrived, it was a constant distraction throughout the meal. After having two candles brought to our table, it helped reduce the amount of flies but not totally. Perhaps it’s better to visit during the day or choosing different areas to dine in at the restaurant. In terms of the duck, on one half of the duck, you could see the duck’s short hairs (fried/embedded in the skin). I think this is normal for the traditional dish but it’s not something I’m used to as a tourist.

Awesome place. The service from the time we made the booking to the actual dinner was great. It is a place that one must experience at least once when visiting Ubud. It is very reasonably priced for what it has to offer and I think it's great. The dishes were delicious. I am happy to recommend this place for anyone visiting the area.

In general food was pretty average in comparison to other local restaurants however we enjoyed it. The main attraction of the restaurant was the great setting and the ambiance. Well priced for a tourist area. Would recommend to experience it at least once.

Their food was amazing. Not even talking about the view! Never seen ripe rice before! Staff was nice also the place vibe was outstanding! I could imagine how busy the place could be at season. Highly recommended!

Recommend. Famous duck dish is available here. Taste is nice though I can't find the reason for you to come only here. Some other restaurant has similar atmosphere with same quality food. Its capacity is huge, so good for group hang out.
