Experience the sacred sites in Agra by visiting the famous church, mosque, Sikh shrine and Hindu temples. Understand the religious diversity of India with the help of your private guide.
Your journey begins with a pick-up from anywhere in Agra in an AC car with a private guide. Then we head towards the famous Sikh shrine Gurudwara Guru Ka Tal. This Sikh shrine is dedicated to the ninth Sikh guru known as Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Singh in the 17th century. Made of red sandstone, this structure shares similarities with the Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri.
Next up, we continue to one of the most famous mosques of India, Jama Masjid. It is situated just opposite the Red Fort, and was built by Shah Jahan in 1648 in the memory of his daughter. It took 6 years and 5000 workers for the mosque to be completed. After this exploration of two of the most famous sites in Agra, stop by for some amazing lunch in an Indian multi cuisine restaurant.
After this we head back to the most prominent Hindu temples such as: Dayal Bagh, Balkeshwar Mandir, Bageshwarnath Temple, Kailash Temple, Bateshwar Temple etc. Out of the 33 million gods of Hinduism several gods and goddesses are depicted and prayed to in these temples.
Last up, we head to St. George's Cathedral, where one can see that Agra is much more than Mughal art and architecture. This church reflects upon the history of how during the colonial era, the Christian population settled down. Located in the famous market Sadar Bazaar, this Gothic style structure is sure to impress.
After this exciting glimpse into the range of religions we head back to your accommodation or your preferred location.
