The tour will also include some of the famous landmarks within this region that any visitor would not want to miss out on while touring Iceland.

What to expect?

  • This is a short and fun guided walking tour of downtown Reykjavik. A super friendly and personal guide will give you insight into the history of the LGBTQ community in Iceland, it's cultural aspects, battles, and wins. Learn how the fight for equality and human rights has shaped modern day Iceland and the queer community.

  • Visit some of Reykjavik's main highlights and most important landmarks, with a little sprinkle of rainbow glitter to honor Reykjavik Pride. This tour is the perfect introduction to our colorful city!

  • The Icelandic queer history does not happen in a vacuum and your guide will introduce you to some very important Icelanders who have made an impact in the fight for LGBTQ rights throughout history. Their contribution will give you valuable insight into Iceland's history as well. You will learn about the financial crash, the economic crisis, military occupation, and the alcohol ban - all of which are intertwined with the queer history!

  • This is an exclusive small group experience with a maximum of 15 people in each group. This means your experience will be more personal and pleasurable and you will have plenty of time to quench your thirst for knowledge and history. Your guide welcomes every and all questions you may have!
