Look through your lens at an otherworldly landscape as you capture the essence of Iceland's inexplicable geography of the unrefined Reykjanes peninsula.
I will take you on a photo day trip through the rugged raw Reykjanes peninsula where the landscape is lunar-like, dotted with volcanic and geothermal wonders and steaming hot lava. The Reykjanes peninsula is on the fissure zone of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and therefore earthquakes have been quite common in this area. Reykjanes peninsula is only 40 minutes drive from Reykjavik city and the world famous Blue Lagoon is based in this area.
You will have the opportunity to photograph wild black beaches, rough cliffs rising from the sea, rock formations and geothermal areas with mud pots and hot springs where you have the feeling you might have landed on a different planet. Reykjanes peninsula is full of mystical atmosphere where the ocean meets harsh volcanic rocks and black sand beaches can be found along with endless lava fields covered with soft moss. Birds are abundant in the summer mostly around the cliffs so in terms of photography this area offers great variety of any kind. Given fair weather the peninsula is known for great sunsets and during wintertime this area is great for haunting the spectacular Northern lights.
Join us on this great photography day tour to the roughness of Reykjanes exploring and photographing landscape you have never witnessed before in company with a professional guide who can offer photographic assistance to help you capture the best photos possible.
