AMAZING TOUR!!! Very professional guide and super cool experience. We attended Glacier Encounter tour, which is quite tiring to be honest, but we really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend and wanna go for the Ice Cave tour as well if we come to Iceland in the winter next time.

Amazing experience with our young kids! Tina was a great guide and took us safely with our young kids (9 and 4.5 years old) on a private hike on the glacier. She was knowledgeable and informative and we felt safe the entire time. She even took us to an ice cave - a rarity during September. We could not have enjoyed ourselves more and highly recommend this experience. This family-owned company is the only one we found that was able to accommodate our young kids with customized crampons. Tina was patient, helped our youngest on the hike and shared a lot of interesting information about glaciers. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Iceland.

If you're on the fence about a glacier tour, go for it! Taking the tour (the 2-2.5hr one) was my husband's idea and I was pretty apprehensive... We aren't much for structured touristy events and I was afraid it would be lame. I was wrong! Our guide was a local woman (she said her name is like 'Iris' but not sure if that's the spelling... sorry, I'm terrible with Icelandic) whose love for the region was infectious. Using the 4x4 van to get to the foot of the glacier spared us a long walk in and was a much better use of our time. Once on the glacier, she made a point to take us away from the big groups to an uncrowded area. I'm a notorious klutz so walking with crampons on the steep areas of ice initially sounded a little outside my comfort zone, but our guide was an excellent instructor and I felt safe and secure the entire time. We took some amazing pictures and learned really interesting things about the history and geography of the region, the glacier itself, and the life that lives on and around it. Though we were on the short tour, we didn't feel rushed. This was definitely one of my favorite things we did on our trip and worth every penny; another (longer!) tour with a Local Guide is definitely on my list of things of things to do if/when we return to Iceland. Thanks for the memories.

Amazing experience! We booked with this company for a beginner hike on the glacier, our guide (the swiss guy, sorry can't remember the name) was super prepared and gave us lots of information about Iceland's glaciers. He guided us on the top of the platform despite the weather condition were not so good. It was really an amazing experience, totally recommended!!!
