Fair enough - it's just an airport, right? The queues are fine, the staff are helpful and friendly, and the place is clean and accessible. Amazingly though, it appears that the place hasn't been updated for 20 years or more. Just needs a good spruce and so life pumping back into it.

Flew into Rhodes airport and found it reasonably good with polite and friendly staff and service. Went straight through the checks with no queing. Looked a little dated but not bothered about that. Nice.

I don't see why some people complain about long lines or long wait of arriving suitcases. I had no problem with any of these or with the airport overall. Suitcases arrived pretty fast and of course lines take some time, be patient. The airport is good-sized and has some small shops to visit before you get on the plane. The water is just pretty expensive there.

The airport is in the process of being updated. We found everyone friendly and efficient. We went through passport control where the airport had been revamped and it was excellent. Plenty of food outlets, bars,bistro etc.

Poor arrival experience due to old terminal, however, at this moment I am enjoying the new departures terminal. Its modern, spacious and comfy. I gave it a 5-star rating because I saw construction in the arrivals terminal, which means that it will also be reconstructed soon.
