Great cafe that also serves food. Good selection of beers and teas. They have a great soup that changes regularly. They also have interesting food with good vegetarian options. They have a pretty big terrace so you can enjoy a bit of sun as well.

Nice place for coffee or beers, it has a nice terrace and interior. The location is what always brings me here, it's in the center yet I always find locals hanging out.

You think it's a café but you get some of the best Libanese food ever!!! A gem hidden in plain sight!

They have good food, they are friendly, they have a good location. I love how they don't mind to let non-customers know the code to the bathroom of the cultural centre. This bathroom used to be abused by many, hence the necessity for introducing the lock. The fact that 'de markten' never abused this lock to make profit is a very beautiful thing.

Came for a weekend in Brussels and Cafe de Markten was my favourite place- friendly staff, great drinks and food, cosy design. We came back after the first visit as the place had incredible atmosphere.
