Really interesting museum. Comprehensively covers early Palaeolithic period onwards. Maybe better than Hanoi but I can’t say as they had there early period sections closed when I was there. Actually reopens at 1:00pm now, contrary to what it says on Google. The girl at the zoo/gardens booth even thought it was 1:30.

I really liked the sections on Vietnam’s ancient history. Explaining the first roots of Vietnamese people and then going on to the Chinese and Indian influences was very vivid. However, many interesting sections are omitted. Also - no AC.

Very nice place to visit in order to understand how deep in history humans started to live in Vietnam and what a progress local culture achieved.

A pretty standard museum. Interesting facts about old vietnam. Not a fan of pottery and things myself, so found that part boring

This is my favourite museum in vietnam. There are many interesting artifacts from the south, including recent finds from Oc Eo, An Giang.
