Nice walk through the gardens led us to the library for scholars of Confucianism, there are explanation tables as well in English. Entry costs 30 Thai baht per person, entry/exit is from the south. Do not forget to entry the very last 2 story building ;) and on the exit way back the nice summer house in the gardens.
This is certainly a beautiful places and can be a serene and calm visit (if you can avoid the big groups). The architecture and the gardens are worth seeing if you have enough time in the city. However, the information given was not great, especially if you come from a different cultural background, so if you're visiting on your own don't expect to understand everything.
Definitely worth checking out if you have the time while you are in Hanoi. We learnt a lot while there – it was in fact quiet and educational afternoon. Probably wouldn’t rate high on my to-do list if I was only there for a short visit
One of the most beautiful temples in Hanoi. Very big and very well conserved. I recommend go there if you are visiting Hanoi
Great place to experience local heritage. They've done a good job preserving the temple and keeping it clean as compared to surrounding areas. You will get pestered walking around the perimeter by locals trying to sell or pan handle however it's easy to just say no thank you. Definitely worth seeing!
