Excellent Institutional complex set within a huge landscaped garden with lawns, fountains and other outbuildings. Central ceremonial entrance leads to a grand entrance hall with arcades along the front and back. Behind the sunscreen facade are full height glazing, probably inserted later into the colonial building. The bright grey monotonic arcade contrasts dramatically with the warm furnished spaces of the interior. Rooms and Halls are well preserved with period furniture and fittings and provides a rich experiential journey that encompasses both function and ceremony, from the utility of the basement bunkers to the ground floor grand public spaces, up to the private quarters and on to the rooftop lounge and garden. A rewarding excursion in time and history.

It is worth to visit to know local history. It used to be French style building but in 1962, bombed and rebuilt, if I recall.. Inside, it contains those days atmosphere, so I could sense that. Everything is square type.. Only place I liked was diplomatic reception room, and President's wife's living area. It has big and nice yard with fountain. At the side, there are nice and fancy cafeteria. I had very relaxing and peaceful with a friend.

I was excited to see this palace during my visit to Ho chi min city. Everything inside & outside the palace talks about the past . History is there in everything that we see. We reached the palace in the afternoon and was very hot. We went through the palace seeing & enjoying the beauty. We could also see the work culture of kings and how one could balance every aspect of life. I was impressed by the different levels of drawing rooms for people of different stature. The helipad on the top was also impressive.

It is a nice place to visit for a good price 40.000 vnd. It has very nice garden with beautiful trees around and a fountain. Nice architecture and design. There is a helicopter on the roof and a bunker under the building. It isn't air condition inside. Thanks for your like 🙏🏼 and enjoy this place! 👌👍

The Independence Palace is a must seen place from an historical point of view. The architecture of the building is unique. There is plenty of information about the life in the Palace at the entry of each room. If you would like to have a more detailed overview, you can hire the recordings for the self-guided tour. The views of the city and the surrounding gardens are fenomenal.
