Phú Hậu, Thành phố Huế, Thừa Thiên Huế, Vietnam
The grandest part of the Imperial City, and supposedly similar to Tiananmen in Beijing. It is a great place to take a photo before entering. Can get warm in the midday so best to visit earlier. The complex usually is not crowded as it is large enough to accommodate big groups.
Jaw dropping place, I could have spent the entire day easily roaming the Imperial City, highly recommend!
The Meridian Gate is a beautifull place, which includes a lot of history. Its a enormous place, where you can easily spend a couple of hours. We've been there for 2 hours and still havent seen every part of it. Recommendation: They wont let u enter with short clothes in some of the temple areas. After that it will be fine but just a reminder, that they dont like hats, photos, or showing lots of skin in the tempels.
Big one! Totally worth a visit. Even without the audioguide possible but i would suggest to take it the next time.
The scale of this great gate and wall even rivals that of the Imperial Palace in China, befitting the status of an Emperor. Just looking at it fills you with pride and tears of bygone days...
