Love this park! They have a lot of community and trust events here to include pet parades, Shakespeare in the Park, Food truck during hosted events, yoga in the summer time. This is a photographers paradise. Dog watching is great. The squirrels are bold and will sometimes come up to you since some folks come around to feed. Bring a blanket, pack some food, and enjoy a spot in the lawn areas. Great for a date walk, family outings, groups of friends.
Volunteer Park is one of my absolute favorite parks in Seattle. The park encompasses many different elements, including the Conservatory of Flowers and the Asian art museum. However, unlike some parks featuring museums, there is lots to do in the park itself. You can climb up the Memorial Water Tower, catch a play at the outdoor stage during the summer, or visit the rose garden. The park is also a great place to walk, jog, or run.
Gorgeous Park at the crest of North Capitol Hill. Museum, Conservatory, water tower, plenty of lawns, tennis courts, kiddie pool, and more! A piece of advice: Don't let your dog off leash here. At all. Ever. The park is heavily patrolled by Animal Control and they give out off leash tickets ($150 I think) like a Chinese restaurant gives out fortune cookies.
Museum was closed making parking easier than usual. The volunteers do a wonderful job making the flower observatory a place worth your time. The water tower stairs are a work out but the view is fantastic. Lots of decent walking and picnic areas. Kind of nice to avoid walking around the downtown park tents. Place was clean and patrons seemed respectful.
Big park! Huge with parking. Lots of walks or visit the conservatory! Sadly the museum on the grounds was closed. Otherwise this is a good spot for kids, dog walks or just needing some open space!
